Terms & Conditions

  1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and conditions are provided to outline in simple text the services provided by Sheepham Saddles, Unit B4 Torland Court, Yelverton Business Park, Crapstone PL20 7PE.

1.2 Sheepham Saddles reserve the right to amend, change or simply update these terms and conditions at any time.

1.3 We reserve the right to remove, amend or update the website for any reason and at any time without notice.

1.4 It is your responsibility to have access to the website and to read through our terms and conditions thoroughly.  If you are not in agreement with the terms you should not use any of our services.

1.5 All products are sold as is and it is your responsibility to have them checked by a professional of your choice during your 3-day trial to confirm they are fit for the purpose they are intended for.  Care must be taken when trying new equipment and Sheepham Saddles cannot be held accountable for any accident or injury that may occur.

1.6 Saddle fitters listed on the page ‘Fitters in your Area’ are purely for information purposes and are not under any recommendation by Sheepham Saddles.  We therefore accept no responsibility for any services they may offer.

1.7 No repairs are carried out by Sheepham Saddles, and we take no responsibility for any work carried out – we purely offer our services to link

  1. Placing an Order

2.1 On placing an order you are legally bound to our terms and conditions

2.2 It is your responsibility to check product description and pictures before placing an order

2.3 In the event that details, pictures or price are incorrect, or the item has become unavailable we reserve the right to cancel an order.  Should this happen you will be notified.

2.4 Sheepham Saddles aim to dispatch orders placed before 2pm the same working day.  In the event that this is not possible we will notify you, but Sheepham Saddles will not be held responsible for an inconvenience caused.  Should there be any considerable delay we will endeavour to inform you.

  1. Delivery

3.1 All orders are sent via DPD Local and charged in accordance with the prices and delivery times shown on the page ‘Delivery and Trials’ with a maximum of 2 saddles per transaction.  If a delivery is delayed for any reason Sheepham Saddles will not be held accountable for any inconvenience that it may cause.

3.2 It is your responsibility to ensure someone is present on the day of delivery, failure to do so will not result in a prolonged trial period.

3.3 It is your responsibility to sign for the parcel on arrival and to report and photograph any damage caused in transit before opening the package.

  1. The 3-day Trial Period (For saddles delivered to a UK address only)

4.1 Your 3-day trial period is inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays and commences on the delivery date of your order, or the day of collection if collecting in person.  Any saddles being returned must be listed and submitted on a Returns Form no later than 4pm on the 3rd day, be suitably packaged as per our guidelines and available for collection between 8 am and 6 pm the next working day.  The cost of returning an order is listed on the page ‘Delivery and Trials’ and will be deducted from the refund given.

4.2 It is your responsibility to inspect any saddles you have on trial immediately after they arrive and contact Sheepham Saddles via email on sales@sheephamsaddles.com if the condition or description of the saddle is not in accordance with the advert.

4.3 Any saddles you have on trial from Sheepham Saddles are your responsibility and you must therefore take great care in looking after them.  They must not be exposed to wet weather, ridden in in jeans or trousers with back pockets and must be stored on a saddle rack when not on a horse.  No saddle should be sat on unless on a suitably sized horse or pony and any saddle returned damaged either/or structurally or cosmetically may be liable to a partial or no refund.  This will be at the discretion of Sheepham Saddles

4.4 Any saddle that is not returned in a clean condition will be subject to a £10 cleaning fee.

4.5 If a saddle is sent with a protective saddle cover this should be returned with the saddle.  Failure to do so will result in a deduction from your refund to replace it.

4.6 It is your responsibility to ensure someone is present between 8am-6pm on the day of collection.

4.7 The collection address may be different from the delivery address.  Please make sure you submit the address you would like the parcel to be collected from on the Returns form.

4.8 If our courier is unable to collect the parcel due to there being no one present or the parcel is not ready you may be subject to a fee of £15 +VAT for rescheduling at the discretion of the Courier.  In addition, you may be liable for a £25 per day late return charge should this affect the return date of the parcel to Sheepham Saddles

4.9 Refunds will be initiated within two working days of the saddle/s being returned.  It may take several days for your bank to allocate the funds to the card used.

4.10 If you wish to return a saddle in person, an appointment to do so will need to be made and the saddle must be returned by 5pm the day after the 3-day trial has ended. Failure to do so may either result in a £25 per day late return fee or we may reserve the right to refuse a refund.

  1. Consignment Sales

5.1 Sheepham Saddles openly sells products on behalf of Third Parties for a commission fee.  If purchasing a saddle which is being sold on behalf of a Third Party, you are accepting that we are acting as an agent in arranging and processing your order on behalf of the Third Party.  By accepting these terms, you accept that we are the agent liaising between you and the Third Party and that we shall receive a percentage of the sale included in the total charges you pay.

  1. Selling Your Saddle

6.1 Saddles being sent to us to be sold on a sale on commission basis, for part exchange or outright purchase must be clean and mould free.  Any saddle not in a satisfactorily clean condition will be subject to a £10 cleaning fee.

6.2 If we dispute the condition of any saddle on arrival or inspection the saddle may have to either be returned to you or a new sale price agreed.  Should the saddle need returning you will be liable for all return costs that occur.  The saddle can be returned using our service or alternatively you may use a courier of your choice to collect the saddle at your own risk.

6.3 Should you wish to remove a saddle you have placed with Sheepham Saddles on a Sale on Commission basis you may do so at any time providing the saddle is not out on trial. Please allow 7 working days from the date in which written notice is sent to info@sheephamsaddles.com for your saddle to be ready for return. You may use our courier service or at your own risk a courier of your choice and any return postage costs will be your responsibility. Any Saddle that is actively listed on the website at time of removal from Sheepham Saddles will be subject to a £50 Administration fee if removed within the first 3 months or £20 thereafter.

6.4 Payment is made to you via Bank Transfer within 30 days of the saddle being confirmed sold.

  1. Cancellations

7.1 For items brought through our website, other than used saddles that are dispatched on a 3 Day trial basis, as a UK Consumer, under the consumer contracts regulations you have the right to cancel an order within 14 days without reason.  The cancellation period expires 14 days from the date your order is delivered.  If any products have been custom made, used or are new and removed from packaging these rights do not apply.

7.2 Termination of order before goods are received is at the discretion of Sheepham Saddles and will be subject to our £10 handling fee.

7.3 It is your responsibility to inform us via post or email to info@sheephamsaddles.com before the end of the 14th day period, quoting the order reference and stating that products are still in original packaging and/or unused.  Any open/ used products may only be subject to a partial refund or in some cases no longer be eligible for any form of refund.
